- 1 V = 1000 mV
- 1 × 1000 = 1000 mV
How to convert volts to millivolts
1 V = 1,000 mV, so multiply by 1,000 to go from volts to millivolts. Going the other way, 1 mV = 0.001 V.
mV = V × 1,000 V = mV × 0.001
Worked example:
1 V = 1000 mV 5 × 1000 = 5000 mV
