The short version

Calculations run in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us.
We don't set cookies and don't ask you to sign in.
We don't currently use any analytics or tracking.
The site doesn't currently show adverts.

What happens to the numbers you enter

Each calculator runs entirely in your browser, so its inputs and results stay on your device. If you press Share link, the inputs are written into the link after a # sign. Browsers never send that part of a link to a website's server, so we don't receive it, but anyone you give the link to can see the values. For finance calculators we ask you to confirm before making such a link.

Information our servers receive

Like every website, our hosting provider receives the technical details of each page request: your IP address, the page address, the time, and your browser type. These are used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and diagnose problems, and are kept for [log retention period and hosting provider: to be provided by the site owner].

If a page fails to work in your browser, it may send us an error report containing the error message, the page address and your browser type. Error reports never contain the values you entered.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Because we don't collect your calculator inputs or run accounts, we usually hold nothing that identifies you beyond short-lived server logs.
