How to convert millivolts to volts

1 mV = 0.001 V, so multiply by 0.001 to go from millivolts to volts. Going the other way, 1 V = 1,000 mV.

V = mV × 0.001
mV = V × 1,000

Worked example:

1 mV = 0.001 V
5 × 0.001 = 0.005 V
