How to convert nanoseconds to milliseconds

1 ns = 1 × 10⁻⁶ ms, so multiply by 1 to go from nanoseconds to milliseconds. Going the other way, 1 ms = 1,000,000 ns.

ms = ns × 1
ns = ms × 1,000,000

Worked example:

1 ns = 1e-6 ms
5 × 1e-6 = 5e-6 ms
