  1. 1 ms = 1000 µs
  2. 1 × 1000 = 1000 µs

How to convert milliseconds to microseconds

1 ms = 1,000 µs, so multiply by 1,000 to go from milliseconds to microseconds. Going the other way, 1 µs = 0.001 ms.

µs = ms × 1,000
ms = µs × 0.001

Worked example:

1 ms = 1000 µs
5 × 1000 = 5000 µs
