Hertz to Megahertz Converter
Convert hertz (cycles per second) (Hz) to megahertz (MHz), with the formula, a conversion table and exact factors.
Change the values and press Calculate to work out your own figures.
Enter a frequency, choose its unit and the unit you want. The answer is exact until it is shown, and the same value appears in every other unit.

- 1 Hz = 1e-6 MHz
- 1 × 1e-6 = 1e-6 MHz
How to convert hertz to megahertz
1 Hz = 1 × 10⁻⁶ MHz, so multiply by 1 to go from hertz (cycles per second) to megahertz. Going the other way, 1 MHz = 1,000,000 Hz.
MHz = Hz × 1 Hz = MHz × 1,000,000
Worked example:
1 Hz = 1e-6 MHz 5 × 1e-6 = 5e-6 MHz
