  1. 1 kg = 1000 g
  2. ÷ 1 g/mL (USDA FDC 174158, 1 ml = 1 g) = 1000 mL
  3. = 1000 mL

How to convert kilograms to milliliters

1 kg = 1,000 mL, so multiply by 1,000 to go from kilograms to milliliters. Going the other way, 1 mL = 0.001 kg.

mL = kg × 1,000
kg = mL × 0.001

Worked example:

5 kg = 5000 g
÷ 1 g/mL (USDA FDC 174158, 1 ml = 1 g) = 5000 mL
= 5000 mL
