How to convert kilograms to liters

1 kg = 1 L, so multiply by 1 to go from kilograms to liters. Going the other way, 1 L = 1 kg.

L = kg × 1
kg = L × 1

Worked example:

5 kg = 5000 g
÷ 1 g/mL (USDA FDC 174158, 1 ml = 1 g) = 5000 mL
= 5 L
