How to convert milliliters to kilograms

1 mL = 0.001 kg, so multiply by 0.001 to go from milliliters to kilograms. Going the other way, 1 kg = 1,000 mL.

kg = mL × 0.001
mL = kg × 1,000

Worked example:

5 mL = 5 mL
× 1 g/mL (USDA FDC 174158, 1 ml = 1 g) = 5 g
= 0.005 kg
