    1. Hour hand: 30° per hour + 0.5° per minute = 30 × 6 + 0.5 × 16 = 188°
    2. Minute hand: 6° per minute = 6 × 16 = 96°
    3. Between: |188° − 96°| = 92°

    How to use it

Type a time to see it in words and on both clocks.

Drag either hand, use the arrow keys on a focused hand, or type a time. Typed times can be 24-hour (15:20) or 12-hour with am/pm (3:20 pm); seconds are optional.

    Key facts

12-hour time = 24-hour hour mod 12 (0 shown as 12), AM before noon and PM from noon

    Your device's time

The clock shows the time your device keeps. Phones and computers usually set it from the network, so it is normally right to within a second; if it looks off, check your device's automatic time setting.

    12-hour and 24-hour time

    From 1 PM add 12 to get 24-hour time (3:20 PM is 15:20); 12 AM is 00:00 and 12 PM is 12:00.

    Questions

    Is this clock accurate?

It shows your device's time, which is usually set automatically from the network.

Can I see another time zone?

Yes: choose it under Clock settings, or add it to the world clocks.

    Limitations

    • A 12-hour dial: the hands can't tell AM from PM, so the widget has an AM/PM switch.
    • Times in words follow common British and US usage ("quarter past", "ten to").
