How to convert liters to grams

1 L = 1,000 g, so multiply by 1,000 to go from liters to grams. Going the other way, 1 g = 0.001 L.

g = L × 1,000
L = g × 0.001

Worked example:

5 L = 5000 mL
× 1 g/mL (USDA FDC 174158, 1 ml = 1 g) = 5000 g
= 5000 g
